1. The basic rules of ping pong doubles
In ping pong doubles, there are two players on each side of the table. The game is played with a ping pong ball and paddles. The aim of the game is to hit the ping pong ball over the net and into your opponent's half of the table so that they are unable to return it.
To score a point, the ping pong ball must be hit over the net and land within the boundaries of your opponent's half of the table. If the ping pong ball hits the net, it is considered a 'let' and no point is awarded.
The game is played best of three or five sets. A set is won when one team has scored 11 points and is leading by at least 2 points. If the score reaches 10-10, then the next team to score two consecutive points wins the set.
